"Frugal Diva is a pet project, not a money making venture, so cost was a consideration when we were looking for a host. But, while I'm frugal, I also wanted good service, and I've always believed you get what you pay for.

"We looked into hosting with most of the big name companies, but not only were they not cheap, they seemed to charge for everything. And some of the charges were really ridiculous, like $100 for domain parking.

"At the other end of the spectrum, we looked at tiny hosts with tiny prices, but never felt comfortable with any of them. Either they hadn't been around very long, or there was no way to contact them other than email, or the packages were very bare bones.

"Ultimately we went with Koi, and I'm still happy with our choice. Frugal Diva has had 100% uptime since it launched, our database is happy on the server, and on the rare occasions when we've ever needed to contact Koi, they've had really fast response times.

"We're getting an excellent deal... and excellent service."
